シマカワヤスヒロ展 Yasuhiro Shimakawa Exhibition

2023.4.1(土)～4.9(日)開廊：12:00~19:00（月曜休廊・最終日17:00まで）

横1x縦1.4m、厚さ3mmの特殊な虫眼鏡ような構造をしたアクリルレンズで太陽光を集め、それを石に照射。表面は 一瞬で2000℃にもなり、石の中の鉱物が溶け出す。冷え固まった状態の石が作品である。 自然が生み出した形。 太陽の力で何ができるかという研究のもと完成した作品。 自然そのものの力を視覚化し表現している。

Sunlight is collected by acrylic lenses with a special magnifying glass-like structure, measuring 1m in width and 1.4m in length and 3mm in thickness, and irradiated onto the stone. The surface instantly reaches a temperature of 2000°C, causing the minerals within the stone to melt. The stone in its cooled and hardened state is the work of art.
Forms created by nature. This work was completed based on research into what can be done with the power of the sun. The work visualises and expresses the power of nature itself.
